If You Give a Man a Wookiee

7:45 AM

This one's a little weird, but I'm glad I at least gave it a shot! The cookie/wookiee rhyme was just crying out to me. I had to think of something. I spent days trying to come up with something other than "man" in the title, but I came up with nothing. (Give a scoundrel a wookiee? Give a Han a wookiee?...) So we're giving a man a wookiee and pretending that's a normal phrase. Just go with it. And if you're wondering, the round gray things are supposed to be Han's ship, the Millennium Falcon. Or maybe the top one is the Death Star...

I imagine the book would go something like this:
"If you give a man a wookiee, he's going to ask for a fast spaceship.
When you give him the spaceship, he'll probably ask you for an astromech droid to help with repairs.
Once you've reached light speed, he'll ask you for an Alderaan princess..."

You get the gist.

  1. oh my goodness, we so need to write this book. It's be amazing. We'd probably need to make sure it's in line with parody laws, but seriously, this would sell so amazingly well.

  14. Well I think you definitely have a market for this book. We were all bummed it was not real. My son in law is a huge Star Wars fan and I'm hoping that your book is finished by the time he becomes a dad so that I can give it to him as a new dad gift so that he can read it to his kids as a bedtime story and keep the legend alive!
This is your retirement plan starting now! You go girl!!!

  30. I've actually written a parody with the same idea in mind. This series is one of my boys' favorites and the youngest in now gaga for Star Wars since The Force Awakens was released. I was wondering if maybe you would like to co-author this project with me and present it to Numeroff and Bond with me before submitting it for publication? If it's a hit, I have some more fun parody ideas for "All My Friends Are Dead" (All My Friends Are Wed) "I Want My Hat Back" (I Want My Youth Back) and "Are You My Mother?" (Are You My Daughter?)

The real surprise was that team, not this one. The Wings relied on kids and NFL Jerseys call-ups, particularly Gustav Nyquist, who started the season in the minors because of a logjam and ended up leading the team jerseys store in goals with 28. He scored 23 in 28 games from Jan. 20 to April 2.
